Day Three: Chillin' at the Resort

We had a leisurely breakfast this morning with a beautiful view of the ocean. The breeze (trade winds) keep things very comfortable. Just when you think you're getting warm, the breeze comes to cool you off. The sparrows were bold!

Our next stop was to the travel concierge desk. We booked a snorkeling trip to Molokini and Turtle Town for Monday. Should be incredible!

We have been lounging by the pool all day. Pretty overcast day, but so pleasant sitting by the pool, sipping delish tropical iced tea and looking out at the ocean. For the second day in a row we have stellar live music! Again, it is one man who knows his voice and picks the best songs for his range. Last night was electric guitar for oldies and classic rock, today it's acoustic guitar for easy listening classics. Such a gorgeous voice. Right now he is singing a Hawaiian style version of Clapton's "You Look Wonderful Tonight."

At the Luau:

Having a great time. Josh is getting some great pics of the performers. My iPhone just wasn't doing it justice. The meal was varied and delicious. The teriyaki steak and the chicken were yummy.

The host for the luau is a talented woman with a Bing Crosby-esque way of talking. Very soothing. Ha! She sang a few songs. The band is awesome. They are on break right now and then the actual show starts. Yay! More later. Writing as the day goes since at the end of each day I am pooped!

Back in the hotel room and too tired to write much. The luau show was great. Interesting creation story and other Hawaiian tales. Terrific dancing and fire tricks.

I love this bracelet.

So, tomorrow we might take the Hana Road to see the rainforest, waterfalls and dormant volcano, or we might save that for next week. On Sunday, my mom's birthday, we rented a cabana all day at the infinity pool at our hotel (see pic below). Fun! Then Monday we go on the turtle snorkeling trip. Aloha!
